After successfully securing funding from the Awesome Foundation and Orlando SOUP, Project ReThink has entered the Hive Orlando, where participants have been discussing logistic of the project, including narrowing down the right images and messages, picking specific areas of town that will best engage the community, and listing what materials are needed, among other things.

Below is a clip of the most recent meeting of the Hive Orlando on Wednesday, June 4th, where Ricardo Williams introduces the “Solution Showcase” portion of the evening and Kelly Erhart and Callye Foster present some of the ideas from their breakout group.

The Hive is a community initiative of IDEAS For Us, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. A monthly think-(and do)-tank aimed at addressing global challenges through local solutions to advance sustainability. This multi-generational and interdisciplinary gathering exists in communities for the purpose of organizing stakeholders for action projects.

Project ReThink is a sustainable art model that will raise awareness about our environmental impacts through creative street art mediums with a goal of changing people’s behaviors and #ReThink their impacts on the environment.
