BRIDGEPORT, CT – Just 2014 marks the first ever Bridgeport Bike Month, presented by Bikeport Co-op. From July 10th-31st, there will be one bike event every day. Bike Month offers three group rides per week, along with bike safety and maintenance workshops, a bike art show, and BMX event. This event was made possible by funding from the Awesome Foundation, Target, and the Galaxy Diner, Bridgeport.


Kickoff ride at Downtown Thursdays, July 10th

IDEAS has partnered with buildOn to host an earn-a-bike program during Bike Month, where high school interns will have a chance to earn a bike, bike lock, and helmet to be able to get to their summer internship sites. To earn their bikes, they must complete 60 hours of community service, as well as attend several Bike Month events.
