This past springs leaders from IDEAS For Us, USGBC, and Feed Hunger Now teamed up to build a vermiponics system at the Women’s Rehabilitation and Counseling Center, a division of the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.

Vermiponics is an cyclic system in which plants grow using worm castings as the plant’s nutrient source. Worm castings are made in a compost bin with the help of either Red Wigglers or Black Soldier Flies.
