This April 2014, IDEAS For Us is partnering with Greening Forward to give out $1,000 for student environmental projects in the U.S.!

THAT’S RIGHT! Get a chance to win up to $250 for your chapter project for this Earth Day…

Each registered chapter of IDEAS in the United States will be tasked with developing a proposal with details of how they will use the $250 if awarded.

4 chapter projects will be selected and funded by April 1st, 2014.


Some criteria that is important to include in the proposal:

— Details: describe the project details, and how it fits in the mission of IDEAS. How does it relate to one of the 5 pillars of sustainability (i.e. energy, water, food, waste, or ecology)?

— Creativity: how is this project different from the others? Why is your project innovative?

— Inclusivity: how does this project bring in a diverse group of people as partners and leaders? Who are the stakeholders involved?

— Topic: what pillar of sustainability (energy, water, food, waste, and/or ecology) does your project focus on?

— Longevity: how does this project plan to continue after the grant?

— Relationship: are you an official IDEAS chapter or affiliate?

— Budget: how are you planning to use the grant funding? Show an itemized list of supplies and materials needed.

— Impact: How does this project help to advance sustainability and climate action goals?


DEADLINE: All proposals must be sent to IDEAS For Us by Sunday, March 23rd at 11:59pm EST.
